Maumee Meet Our Instructor – Mike Horst

Since January 2021, Mike has been proud to be part of the Stautzenberger family. With over 20 years of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration experience, he enjoys guiding students on their new career path.

Mike began his HVAC/R career in the late nineties. He started out making sheet metal and delivering materials and equipment across Northeast Ohio and Southeast Michigan. Later, he participated in new construction, HVAC/R system replacement, and service/maintenance projects.

At the University of Dayton, Mike earned his bachelor's degree in business administration. He then moved into a sales/consulting role in HVAC/R system replacement. Besides attending continuing education classes, Mike has trained at multiple HVAC/R production factories to broaden his technical skills. In 2014, he passed the North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification exam with a specialty in gas furnaces. Today, he draws upon all of these experiences to help his students reach their full potential.
