For medical assistants, no day is truly “ordinary.” Each patient needs unique care, and every day presents its own challenges. However, seeing patients recover helps compassionate medical assistants like Markie persevere through difficult days.

Markie has always been passionate about helping others. For over a decade, Markie has been helping a wide variety of patients. She has worked in private practices, outpatient ambulatory surgery centers, and outpatient rehabilitation centers. In addition to clinical systems education, she has experience in podiatry, gastroenterology, and addiction medicine. Markie's patients have had a wide range of conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease.

Traveling has been one of Markie's favorite aspects of her career. Cincinnati, Columbus, and Indiana are a few of the places where she has worked. Today, she is the lead medical assisting instructor at Stautzenberger College, Brecksville Campus. Markie is grateful that she has been able to serve so many communities. “I love knowing that I make a difference in peoples' lives for the better,” says Markie. “I am happy to start this new journey in education with you.”
