Graduate Highlight - Talisha Bush - Practical Nurse
Does helping others come naturally and not feel like a chore? Would you rather be meeting new people every day and tending to their needs instead of being stuck behind a desk? If so, our practical nursing diploma program could be perfect for you! At Stautzenberger College, we prepare students like Talisha Bush for a career that rewards not only themselves but also every patient with whom they interact.
Ms. Bush's desire to serve others led her to enroll at Maumee Campus. “I have always loved to help people,” she says. “It is my passion!” Just as Ms. Bush strived to help those around her, so did her instructors help her whenever she needed them. “Mrs. Parker inspired me. She was able to teach us as well as complete schooling for herself to obtain her doctorate degree!” recalls Ms. Bush.
Practical Nurse Instructors
Sometimes, Ms. Bush struggled to balance her schoolwork with other responsibilities. Still, learning to manage her courseload did have a silver lining. “I have learned better time management skills,” she says. After completing subjects such as Medical Surgical Nursing, Electronic Health Records, Maternity and Pediatric Nursing, and Fundamentals of Mental Health. She would like to thank all of her instructors for their assistance and reassure prospective students that the faculty members will help them as well. “The teachers from Stautzenberger in the PN program were genuinely willing to help!” says Ms. Bush.
