Graduate Highlight - Emily Liske
On January 24, 2019

Isn't life better with friends? Whether you're exercising, watching a movie, or going to school, sharing your experiences could make the time more memorable. When Emily Liske decided to make a career change, she was able to share it with her friend as well.

Ms. Liske enrolled in Stautzenberger College's veterinary technician program because she strives to put animals' needs above her own. “I love working with animals because I know I can be a voice for those who need me but cannot speak,” she says. When she started the program at Maumee campus, Ms. Liske found support in instructors “Renee Vollmar, Alexis Turnbull, and Dr. Tiffany Cole.”

The person who boosted her confidence the most, however, was a close friend. “My friend Kelsey and I decided to do college again together,” says Ms. Liske. “With each other to lean on, we both graduated with honors!” She completed her externship at Spring Meadows Animal Hospital and graduated in December of 2017. Ms. Liske is thankful for having a friend who shares her passion and now lives it out every day.

We hope Ms. Liske's story inspired you.
