Meet Our Librarian Lori Van Liere
On April 07, 2022

Lori Van Liere has been in the education field for her entire career; from specialty educational materials, campus management, to her current position as Corporate Librarian for AHED.   Lori earned her B.A. in History from the University of Toledo and her M.L.S from Kent State University.

Information literacy skills are an essential component of education and the library should be a place where students come to learn and practice these skills. Lori believes the primary role of librarians is to help people find, evaluate, and use information to enrich their lives.   “Because Librarians have been helping people fact-check since forever.”  Libraries Transform.

Lori lives in Toledo with her husband, Dave and their oldest grandson, Trance, and two cats and one dog.  In her free time she likes to hang out with twin grandsons, Nolan and Liam, and take Louie the dog on long walks.

The library is open:
Monday thru Thursday: 8:00 am to 7:00 pm
Fridays: 8:00 am to 3 pm
