Graduate Highlight - Chelsie Fulton
On March 22, 2019

“Can I work and still go to nursing school?” That is one of the most common questions we receive. Since every individual is unique, there is not one “correct” answer. However, many students, such as Stautzenberger College graduate Chelsie Fulton, are able to balance both responsibilities and more.

Ms. Fulton enrolled in the practical nursing program at Maumee campus because of both personal interest and encouragement from her children. “My children push me to work harder,” she says. Wanting to be an inspiration to them, she persevered in her classes even when all of her obligations felt overwhelming. “I had to push myself to study in between two kids and working,” Ms. Fulton recalls, “but I got honor awards almost all terms.” She graduated from the program on March 3rd of this year, and we could not be more proud of all that she has accomplished.

Our working students attribute their success not only to their own determination but also to our caring instructors. Ms. Fulton wants to thank Ms. Conlan (https://www.sctoday.edu/blog/if-you-are-considering-nursing-it-probably-...), Ms. Parker, and Ms. Brushen for all of their guidance during the program. We feel that these instructors, as well as the rest of our faculty members, have the experience and passion to help students achieve their career goals.

We encourage anyone interested in our practical nursing program to meet with our instructors to see if this program and career path are good matches. Call 888.859.8225 or submit our Request Information form to learn more. Once you discuss your questions with them, we think making your decision could be easier.
