“You can do whatever you put your mind to”. These words guided Surgical Tech Graduate Germille Rahman to her new career. As a 40-year-old single mother-of-two with an ailing mother to take care of herself, she stated “failure was not an option”. She rose to the occasion at Stautzenberger - expanding on the knowledge she’s already gained by being in the medical field since she was 17 years old.

The people who helped her were amazing, and she knew she wanted to do the same for other people. She worked hard on her degree while raising her children - how fun it must have been to all be in school at the same time! She showed great fortitude, and we are so proud of our Dean’s List graduate!

She was inspired as a teenager to go into the nursing field because of how fulfilled she felt taking care of her grandparents. She wanted to continue to give excellent care to others. Jocelyn knew she wanted to go into our Veterinary Technician program because she had always been around animals and loved them. Her grandma encouraged her to enter the field, and she wasted no time - coming to Stautzenberger directly after high school. We are proud of the hard work she completed while she was here!
