Celebrating a century of impact for students, alumni, employers, and the communities we serve.
In 1926, Ohio educator William Henry Stautzenberger founded a small vocational school in Toledo: the Stautzenberger’s Private Commercial School. Its mission was simple and bold: Equip students with practical skills that lead directly to work.
One hundred years later, that mission still stands.
Today, Stautzenberger College is among the oldest vocational colleges in Ohio, older than roughly 90% of its peers, and continues to evolve alongside the communities it serves. From its earliest classrooms to today’s modern campuses, Stautzenberger has remained focused on one thing: real education for in-demand careers.
Throughout 2026…
We’re proud to celebrate a century of impact, highlighting the people, perseverance, and purpose that made it possible.

That mission extends beyond the classroom and into the workforce. A robust Career Services department bridges education and employment for lasting outcomes.
