At Maumee Campus, Mr. Reed pursued his heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration diploma. Although he enjoyed the courses and looked forward to the prospect of a new career, the program came with its own challenges for him. “I worked third shift while raising a two-year-old and getting myself together as well,” Mr. Reed says. However, his favorite instructor gave him the extra push he needed to stay motivated. “Tom is a great teacher and will teach you everything you need to know,” he adds. I didn’t understand why I wasn’t accomplishing my major goals. I thought I was doing it right, according to the supposed “goal rules.” I was setting tangible goals, writing them down, going over my list in the morning, etc.
