The professional administrative assistant program will prepare students for an exciting career to work in a comfortable office setting while performing various office duties and responsibilities that can include filing, keyboarding, data entry, preparing mailings, proofreading and answering telephones. They also operate photocopiers, fax machines and other office equipment. Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, filing, and faxing. Extensive software skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication skills.
Secretaries and administrative assistants perform routine clerical and administrative duties. They organize files, prepare documents, schedule appointments, and support other staff.
