After meeting with area employers, we added the Patient Care Technician Program to fulfill their job requests. Job title options include Patient Care Technician, Nurse Assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist and other options.
Upon successful completion of the program, you have the ability to sit for the Patient Care Technician exam by the National Healthcare Association.
The Diploma in Patient Care Technician program provides students with the opportunity to study Nursing Assistant Skills, Electrocardiography, Emergency Room Techniques, Phlebotomy, and Dialysis. You could work in hospitals, nursing homes, home health care settings and other health care centers.
Patient Care Technicians directly support patients with a wide range of responsibilities, which could include a patients physical and emotional guidance, checking vitals, monitoring patients’ food and liquid intake, bathing and obtaining specimens.
