Meet Our Instructor - Amanda Hermiller, CSFA, CST

That's why we hire instructors like Amanda Hermiller who bring decades' worth of experience and knowledge from their respective fields to our students.

Amanda, CSFA, CST is proud to be the Surgical Technology Program Chair at Maumee Campus. She holds an associate degree in surgical technology from Brown Mackie College in Indianapolis, Indiana. Additionally, Amanda received her national certification at Meridian Institute of Surgical Assisting. Over the course of her career, she has served as a certified surgical technologist and first assistant at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Lima Memorial Hospital, and St. Rita's Medical Center. For 11 years, she has been learning valuable lessons to pass on to the next generation of surgical technologists.

Amanda looks forward to meeting new students and helping them achieve their career goals. “I love teaching and being able to share all the knowledge I have acquired over the last 11 years,” she says. When she is not teaching, Amanda enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors with her husband of ten years and two sons. Amanda's office is located in the back nursing hallway, so be sure to stop by and say hello when you have a chance!
