Graduate Highlight - Christopher Bradford

How much could you gain from starting a career program at Stautzenberger College? According to recent graduate Christopher Bradford, “You get out what you put in.” If you put in the effort by attending class daily and completing all assignments, you could be well on your way to the career of your dreams.

Mr. Bradford's new career path began due to unexpected circumstances. “My job was shutting down,” he says. “I wasn't hired in at the time, so before the layoff, I decided to pursue another career.” He soon decided on becoming a heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration technician. At Maumee Campus, Mr. Bradford was encouraged by the faculty and staff to keep pursuing his dream even when challenges arose. When asked to pick a favorite instructor, Mr. Bradford replied, “All of them.”

The most difficult obstacle Mr. Bradford faced was being a “Single father who has to manage it all.” However, he worked hard and passed all of his classes, including: HVAC Air Delivery Systems; Fundamentals of Welding and Heat Pumps; Steam and Commercial Hydronic Systems; Troubleshooting Controls, Motors, and Cooling; Building Management Systems; and many more. He graduated from Stautzenberger College in January of 2019, ready to begin his new career.
