Winter Medical Pinning Ceremony

100_6575Approximately 40 Medical Technology students attended the Winter 2010 Medical Technology Pinning Ceremony on Friday, December 4, at Stautzenberger College. Students preparing to extern during winter quarter gathered to hear instructors discuss externship guidelines and processes, and to give their advice for successful externship experiences. Medical Technology Instructors presented the following awards:

• Highest GPA – Mary Carr and Angela Wallace
• Shining Star – Julie Schneider
• Most Likely to Succeed – Charlynn Haynes and Elizabeth Castillo
• Butterfly Award – Maria Leal and Renushiann Gorham

Upon closing of the Pinning Ceremony, students cited the Medical Assistant’s Creed:

The Pinning Ceremony is held each quarter as students prepare to participate in their externships and to finalize their coursework in the Medical Technology Program.
