Brian Niedzwiecki Earns Toledo 20 Under 40 Leadership Award

Last evening, Vice President of Operations Brian Niedzwiecki, was honored by being named one of the 20 Under 40 by Toledo community leaders. This was the 13th anniversary of Toledo 20 Under 40 Leadership Awards Recognition Program. The program selects individuals who are making exceptional contributions to the community and who have distinguished themselves in their careers. Chrys Peterson, news anchor for WTOL-TV11 was the master of ceremonies.

Over 400 nominees were presented for the award, which was narrowed down to a field of over 170 candidates. Brian received three nominations and was selected by a panel of judges, which included: William Fall, CEO, The William Fall Group; Wendy Gramza, executive vice president, Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce; Robert C. Helmer, president, Lourdes College; Megan Manahan, regional vice president, marketing and communications, Mercy Health Partners; David Schlaudecker, executive director, Leadership Toledo; and Hernan Vasquez, president/CEO, Mandell-Vasquez, president/CEO, Mandell-Vasquez, Inc.

Brian obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Humanitarianism at BGSU and a Master of Arts in College Student Personnel, also at BG. He was hired at Stautzenberger in 2003 as a career services assistant and was promoted to career services director shortly after. He was our first dean of students in 2005 and is currently vice president of operations. Brian is actively involved with EPIC, Engaging People Inspiring Change, as well as the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), NACE, the National Association of Colleges and Employers, and a founding friend of the Women’s Center at BGSU.

If this all isn’t enough, Brian serves as a trustee for the Arrowhead Park Association, Partners in Education and is Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Paul Laurence Dunbar Academy and the Alliance Academy of Toledo.
