Medical Technology Program Adopts Salvation Army Families
Stautzenberger College adopted two families from the Salvation Army for the Christmas holiday.
Joyce Ammons coordinated the effort for the Medical Technology Program. Staff and students from the entire college donated gift items and participated in a two-day bake sale and gift basket raffle. The bake sale and raffles netted more than $400. Those funds were used to purchase toys and food gift cards for both of the adopted families. Additional gift donations were collected from staff and students and all donations were delivered to the families on Dec. 22, 2008.
The families were extremely grateful and stated, “This assistance could not have come at a better time for us.”
The Medical Technology Program staff wishes to thank all Stautzenberger students and staff who participated in this fundraiser. Your efforts made a tremendous difference for these two families. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
