IT Enterprise Administration

The IT Enterprise Administration (ITEA) program is designed to prepare a student with strong basic computer skills the minimum technical courses to allow the graduate to install, configure, and manage network systems and software.

This program will prepare a student to enter the computer support field as a network administrator, desktop support technician, computer technician or a help-desk technician. Depending upon the graduate’s background beyond this curriculum, he or she may be ready to accept a position as an entry-level systems administrator.

The student completes coursework necessary to prepare for CompTIA’s A+ and Network+ certification exams. Microsoft coursework prepares the student for the Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) certification exam.

These exams are offered on campus at the Stautzenberger Certification and Testing Center. Experience combined with training may be necessary before the graduate is ready to take the exams.

Graduates of this program are qualified to work as network administrators, desktop support technicians, computer support technicians and/or help desk technicians. Certifications are highly recommended and supported with test-out workshops and additional certification training. The normal time to complete this program for a full-time student is 21 months.
