For the fifth consecutive year, Stautzenberger College participated in the Great Maumee River Dragon Boat Festival that benefits Partners in Education in Toledo. The “Stautzenboaters” were comprised of students, faculty and staff. The event, which raises money for educational opportunities in the Toledo area, has grown from under ten teams competing the first year to 44 teams in 2008. Each team competed in three 500 meter races on the Maumee River in downtown Toledo. The Stautzenboater’s won the Division C Championship for the second year in a row. 

In addition to the Stautzenboater team, Stautzenberger College also provided free massages to the participants and inexpensive massages to the general public. The massages showcased the Stautzenberger College Massage Therapy program. Students, faculty and alumni volunteered their services to perform approximately 500 massages.
