Business Technologies
Associate of Applied Business
The mission
of Business Programs at Stautzenberger College is to provide
students with the opportunity to practice a systems perspective,
self assessment, and critical thinking skills that—combined
with skills in communication, computer software application,
customer service, leadership, teamwork, and a variety of strategic
business areas—prepare them to be competitive in the
job market.
The Business
Technologies Program provides a broad base of skills for the
graduate seeking a position in a business environment. The
Core classes provide hands-on experience with networking small
business computer systems and troubleshooting business application
software, covering every aspect of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Core courses also introduce students to the fundamentals of
business, business law, business math, and accounting. Finally,
it is in the Core courses that students polish their written
communication, customer service, business correspondence and
presentation skills.
The Technical
Electives allow students to choose courses that focus their
career path toward a job as office worker, bookkeeper, or
for those with previous experience, office manager. Elective
courses build skills in human resource management, marketing,
small business management, leadership and accounting.
